| They are the SAME Nippon/Denso/Sard, injectors used in the BORDER 850cc kit. Same part number. I have the Border 850cc kit, I got it from Power Supply racing for $1245 shipped, Brand new. I purchased my fittings that I needed from Summit and the other I got a hook up from Kyle @ SGP. I believe the PE kit uses the stock fuel rail from Z32's. I compared the inside dia of the billet Border fuel rails and the Stock fuel rails. The border looked a little larger, and more reliable. Plus it looks so damn nice, not that it really matters because you cannot see them unless you are looking for them. If your friend has an older style injector Z, You will have to get the Lower plenum machined to fit the 850cc injectors to fit with the new stock fuel rail that it comes with. I believe its around $1100 total. I personally would just go with the BORDER, The price has been going up on them, but I shopped around and every where was $1400+, and finally found them for $1245. It is a VERY high quality part, uses AN Fittings, and a SS 'bastard' fuel hose (connects the two rails together) Alot of other cars use the same Nippon/Denso/Sard/Blitz injectors, (DSM's, RX-7's stock, SR20's etc. I myself, have never heard a failure of them. The only "downfall" of 850cc injectors is they "click" loud, when opening and closing, sounds like lifters tapping. Can't really hear it with the hood closed though. I was just letting you know... If your friend ever wanted to run a dual fuel pump, Border would be the way to go. DON'T FORGET TO REPLACE THE LOWER INJECTOR ISOLATORS, even if they look nice and new. Just replace them, they are only about $3.00x6=$18 and ~$4 shipping.... $22 total, its cheap insurance. IMO, if you have the little bit of extra money, Just shop around and find the Border kit/fuel rails etc.
